If you’re a naval history buff, Seawolf Park in Galveston deserves a high spot on your to-do list. This floating park is home to three warships, and two of them are open to the public for self-guided tours. Learn a little something, fish from the pier and enjoy a relaxing day on the water.
Located on Pelican Island, this unique destination is home to two historic warships. The ruins of a third are also nearby.

You’ll also find the Galveston Naval Museum in Seawolf Park. The museum offers self-guided tours of the ships.

There’s so much to look at, and if the walls could talk, they’d have some truly captivating stories to tell.

You can easily turn a trip here into a one-day event. It’s also great if you’re looking to putz for just a few hours.

She was a tanker built following steel shortages during World War I and is the only permanent shipwreck along the Houston Ship Channel.

Visitors can visit the ships from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (last entry at 5:00 p.m.)
