Two Russian surface warships, carrying 16 Kalibr-type cruise missiles, remain combat-ready in the Black Sea.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegramreports a correspondent of Ukrinform.

“As of August 20, 2022, two enemy warships, carrying a total of 16 Kalibr-type cruise missiles, remained ready for action in the Black Sea. In the Sea of ​​Azov, the enemy continues to control sea communications, keeping up to four ships and boats ready for battle. In the Mediterranean Sea, there are five Kalibr-type cruise missile carriers,” the report said.

During the past day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, passage through the Kerch-Yenikale Canal was carried out as follows: 29 ships sailed through the Sea of ​​Azov, including five ships from the Bosphorus Strait; 30 ships sailed in the Black Sea and 12 of them headed for the Bosphorus Strait.

According to the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Russia continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS 1974), disabling Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) on civilian ships in the Sea of ​​Azov.

Recall that between February 24, 2022 and August 20, 2022, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 44,900 soldiers.
