The Russian Pacific Fleet has received a new set of battalions from the Bastion Coastal Mobile Missile Complex as part of a rearmament program with modern military hardware, the Primorye Region Information Support Group said.

“Heavy military equipment was delivered by sea transport to the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky as part of the Bastion Battalion Ensemble. It was escorted by specialized vehicles of the Military Road Traffic Police Unit and of the National Road Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) for the area of ​​deployment of the coastal missile training of troops and forces in northeastern Russia, “he said.

Previously, the same missile formation had received a battalion of the Bal mobile coastal missile complex. Mobile Bastion Coastal Missile Complex with Unified Yakhont (Onix) Supersonic Seeker Anti-Ship Missile is designed to destroy surface warships, convoys and aircraft transport groups of different classes, as well as warships individual and radio contrast ground targets under conditions of intensive fire and electronic counterattack.
