Marte Extended Range (ER) anti-ship missile is in full-scale production, MBDA spokesperson says
at DIMDEX, held in Doha, Qatar, at the end of March.

The N/GH/C (naval/ground – helicopter) and F/J (fighter aircraft) variants will have a high degree of commonality, the spokesperson added.

The Marte ER successfully completed its last firing test with an inert warhead in November 2021 at an Italian firing range in Sardinia. The Highly Subsonic Shoot-and-Forget Missile is an all-weather, fast-reacting, long-range weapon with multiple missile firings with simultaneous time-on-target (STOT) capability.

It was designed for use with aerial (helicopter and fast jet) and surface (naval and coastal vessel) platforms. The Marte ER version has an extended range of 100 km compared to the 30 km range of the Marte Mk2/N. The sea shaving missile is powered by two boosters and an additional turbojet (without boosters for F/J).
